These are the conditions for admission to the individual vocational examinations and higher professional examinations:
MarKom entrance examination: Anyone who is at least 18 years of age on the day of the examination will be admitted to the examination.
Marketing specialist: To enter for the vocational examination as a marketing specialist with a federal certificate, the MarKom entrance examination must have been passed previously. The required proof of practice must be furnished in accordance with the examination regulations.
Sales specialist: To enter for the vocational examination as a sales specialist with a federal certificate, the MarKom entrance examination must have been passed previously. The required proof of practice must be furnished in accordance with the examination regulations.
Sales manager: Anyone who has a federal certificate in the sector-specific vocational examinations and can prove they have at least three years of practical experience in a management role in sales will be admitted to the higher professional examination.
Or anyone who has a diploma from another higher professional examination, a diploma from a higher technical college or a diploma from a college or university and can prove they have at least three years of practical experience in a management role in sales.
Or anyone who has a certificate of competence for a profession with an apprenticeship lasting at least three years, a certificate of competence from a two-year sales apprenticeship, a diploma from a vocational high school recognised by the Federal Office or a matriculation examination certificate and can prove they have at least six years of practical experience in a management role in sales.
Marketing manager: Anyone who has a certificate of competence for a profession with an apprenticeship lasting at least three years or a certificate recognised as equivalent by the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (e.g. from a vocational high school recognised by the Federal Office, school-leaving exam) will be admitted to this higher professional examination. A total of six years of marketing experience is also required, of which three years should be in a management position (management of staff) or in a self-employed capacity.
Or anyone who has a federal certificate in the sector-specific vocational examinations (marketing specialist with a federal certificate, sales specialist with a federal certificate or communications planner with a federal certificate) or a diploma from a higher technical college, a university of applied sciences or a college or university. A total of at least three years in a management position in marketing is also required.
